The 2008 golf season will soon be upon us, and as in the past we wanted to take a few moments to bring everybody up to date on the plans for the PCCC Men's Golf Association, (MGA).

The purpose of the MGA is to promote golf, good fellowship and sportsmanship and to encourage active participation in the game of golf. The Association is open to all male members and their sons over 18 living with them, including all male corporate golf members.

Member dues, $40 per member per year, finance the Association. Every penny of these dues are returned to members who participate in MGA sponsored golf events throughout the year. You will soon see a schedule for 2008 MGA planned events to help you schedule around the events in which you wish to play .

All MGA-sponsored events are held at Panther Creek. Most events usually include pro shop sweeps for individuals and teams. Special event holes are also often featured. Information about upcoming Association events is always displayed on the board outside the golf shop, in the men’s locker room and on the PCCC website throughout the golfing season. They include one and two-day golfing events on weekdays and weekends.

The MGA traditionally sponsors at least one guest day event annually, giving you an opportunity to bring friends, business associates or member prospects to our club and enjoy a bit of golfing fun and competition.

Remember, you must be a member of the PCCC Men's Golf Association to play in any MGA-sponsored golf event. Joining the Association is easy. The cost is still just $40 for the full year.

If you are a male and a designated corporate member, make sure you let your primary member know you would like to join the MGA and participate in MGA events in 2008. It’s just good business. If you were a MGA member last year, you will automatically be billed on your March statement. If you would like to join this year or have questions, please contact the office.

So keep an eye open for 2008 PCCC golf schedule and plan on joining in the fun of the Men’s Association at Panther Creek. Our goal is to enroll 100% of all eligible male golfers in the Club.
