Starting Times and Times of Play
Tee times for play may be reserved during the golf season. Tee times may be reserved one week in advance. A member may reserve two tee times per day on any given weekend or holiday. Special arrangements for more than two tee times may be made with the Head Golf Professional.
Dress Code
Appropriate dress shall be worn by all members, dependents and their guests. Jeans of any type are not allowed. Shorts are permitted, however, they must have an outseam of at least 16 inches. Shirts are required and must have collars and sleeves. Ladies are permitted to wear tops whithout collars and/or sleeves at the discretion of the professional golf staff. Individuals not properly attired will be asked by the professional golf staff to correct their attire or choose not to go onto the golf course practice facilities. It is the member's responsibility to advise guests of the dress code.
Pace of Play
Even though our course is more difficult than others, slow play is frowned upon. Four hour and fifteen minute rounds are commonplace, and you should adjust your playing routine to fit a four hour and fifteen minute round. The professional golf staff will be happy to assist you in learning how to play and enjoy the game at that pace. If, for some reason, you are playing slowly and are not keeping up with the foursome ahead, please step aside to let the group behind play through. Members are also reminded that when having guests, it is your responsibility to keep your group playing at the correct pace.
Use of Golf Carts
Club rules state that golf carts shall be limited to the accomodations of not more than two persons and not more than two golf bags. No person under the age of 16 shall be permitted to operate a golf cart for any reason.
Cart Path Only Rule
Carts are not allowed to leave the cart path at any time. Your cooperation with this rule is greatly appreciated. This rule will be posted on the #1 and #10 tees.
Cart Paths
Paths are reserved for golf carts only. Due to obvious danger during play, non-players, such as bicyclists, joggers and walkers are not permitted on the course or the paths during the hours the golf course is open for play.
Blue Stakes
When you see blue stakes at the end of the fairway, please return to the cart path at the end of the fairway immediately and remain on the path until the next tee.
Summer Rules vs. Preferred Lies
Summer rules are in effect the majority of the time, and "preferred lies" (winter rules) are only used in extreme situations. Summer rules consist of playing your ball where it lies. "Preferred lies" tend to lower scores or handicaps, thus penalizing the players in competition with the other players. This is why it is so important to play according to the rules posted.
